Never again by Dennis Okyere Brako
The game of
life we play to gain
Its twists
and turns are full of pain
The shrills
and thrills are secrets ordained
To
self-resign, are oracles profaned
As you brace
each stage you’ll meet the Cain’s
Who’ll smash
your sacrifice on you altar of pain
The drought
will come: there’ll be no rain
Nurse a
determined spirit as you ply these plains
Trudge, step
by step but don’t complain
Overlook the
naysayers and grab the endurance chain
Turn not,
but for your course, maintain!
Learn from
the past as the Jews says! Never again!
