God Will Make a Way by Lydia Preston

God Will Make a Way by Lydia Preston

Society seems in a mess
Mothers cry, while Fathers stress
to be polite is a disgrace
as children mock you to your face

every day the papers show
that crime and rape did upward go
the things done in laboratories
are stashed away in lavatories

drugs and sex aren't hard to find
it seems as if the worlds gone blind
for what the people fail to see
is messing up society

as Dads no longer head their home
and kids all sit, and chat by phone
what once to all has been a home
is looking like a war torn zone

no longer do you find that kids
are playing in the park
for it's become a hideout place
for gangsters after dark

what once was right now seems so wrong
no more joy and no more song
as what this all was meant to be
lies buried in a cemetery

by telling you these things my aim
is not to make you mad
it's just to tell another truth
which soon will make you glad

amidst the chaos of this world
of hurt, despair and pain
and hate along with treachery
all done for selfish gain

there's this one thing I know of
believe with all my heart
that when I bend my knees to pray
my God will make a way

You can do it by Kylie Peterson

You can do it by Kylie Peterson

Thoughts and dreams, holding on tight,
No matter how hard, don’t give up the fight.

The tears start to fall with pressure and pain,
Keep pressing on and get rid of that shame.

Smile for you and keep yourself strong,
Things will work out, you’re not always wrong.

Wipe those eyes and pick up your head,
The world’s still turning and you are not dead.

Believe in your heart, keep your spirits alive,
Don’t doubt yourself, you will survive.

You are loved even if you don’t see,
Keep your personality that is the key.

Be yourself, do what you do,
Maybe people will get the clue.

Ignore those put-downs no matter how hard,
Forgive your enemies, send them a card.

Encourage others, be a good friend,
In doing good things, there is no end.

Things can go wrong and make you feel low,
It’s good not to dwell, you can let it go.

Say you can do it and not that you can’t,
You could be famous and people could chant.

You could go to the moon and fly past the stars,
You could get your famous name driving race cars.

You could act on a stage or do ballet,
You could be a mother to say “It will be OK”.

You could fight fires or work in a zoo,
You can follow your dreams, it’s all up to you.

Pain and fear is all part of life every day,
You can do it if you want and you say.

Every problem will pass, keep holding on,
The scars from the past will soon be gone.

Love who you are and keep your chin up,
One day you will really know the meaning  of a golden prize cup.

There’s a mountain before you
One you feel you can never climb
The distance is frightening,
but I know you can make it to the other side
If only you try

I’ve seen the strength
that you carry inside
I’ve seen the will, the passion
the fight in your eyes
I’ve witnessed your ambition
I know you can do it one more time

You can do anything
You can be anyone
You can be happy, too
But first you must believe
in the power of you

You’re powerful,
valuable, beautiful and brave
And I know that you know
you can make it through tomorrow
if you can get through today;
I will be there for you
every step of the way

For all things look to yourself first;
You have all things and you'll never thirst
Your land has many things great and good
Rich soils, minerals and other things

Do not go friend cap -in-hand
Honey and milk flow in your hand
Don't say,"Grass is green at their feet"
For grass is greener at your feet

You have got all the richest gift,
Others have not got half your gifts
Look to yourself then and great
Use all that you have and be great

Quitting is not the way by Julie Herbert

Quitting is not the way by Julie Herbert

Go ahead and quit,
If you can’t see it through.
But don’t come crying to me,
When quitting is all you do.

Those who start to quit,
When things start getting tough.
Start to see quitting,
As a way to get out of stuff.

They never stick things through,
And can’t complete a thing.
Is this the type of person,
You see yourself being?

Quitters never win,
No matter what you’ve heard.
Have you ever heard a quitter,
That is picked to be referred?

Of course that would be silly,
Why would someone refer?
Someone who can’t even accomplish,
They are their own saboteurs.

Next time you want to quit,
Think who you want to be.
Quitters never win,
I want more than this for thee.

I want to see success,
Surround you every day.
I want you to be happy,
And want to scream hooray!

I want you in a job,
That makes you’re world so good.
I want the work you do,
Feel just like childhood.

But most of all I want,
To see you see things through.
But not because you should,
Because you really want too.

And I realize you may be scared,
That you can’t see it through.
But I’m hear to tell you, you can,
Do anything you put your mind to
